Flying Velociraptors in a nutshell

Suggested Microraptor gliding model. As you can see, it could appearently acquire height in it’s flight by raising the hindlimbs. Since we know Microraptor preserved the deltoideus muscle complexes, a bat-style wing stroke was possible, hence further extending the flight. Dromaeosaurs, and microraptorines in particular, were therefore truly capable of powered flight, if in a way far different from modern birds.
